This three-day adventure begins at 4:45 a.m. in Sierpe with a boat ride through the Térraba-Sierpe mangroves to Drake Bay. After a quick transfer, we continue by boat for approximately one hour to Sirena Beach, arriving around 7:30 a.m. From there, we hike 30 minutes through primary rainforest to reach Sirena Station for check-in and bag drop-off.
Our first hike starts mid-morning, exploring trails where sightings of monkeys, toucans, coatis, and tapirs are common. Around 11:00 a.m., we return to the station for lunch and a rest. The afternoon is dedicated to a second guided walk, returning by 5:30 p.m. for dinner at 6:00 p.m.
Day two begins with a sunrise walk at 5:00 a.m., followed by breakfast at 6:30 a.m. We head back into the forest for another trail session, return for lunch at 11:00 a.m., and rest before a final afternoon hike ending by 5:30 p.m.
On the third day, we rise early for a short morning hike at 5:00 a.m. After breakfast at 6:30 a.m., we pack up and take one last walk before lunch at 11:00 a.m. The boat departs at 12:30 p.m., arriving in Drake Bay in time for the 2:30 p.m. colectivo back to Sierpe.
