This two-day Corcovado adventure begins at 5:30 a.m. from the dock in Puerto Jiménez with a scenic boat ride across the Golfo Dulce and along the Pacific coastline. You’ll arrive at Sirena Beach around 7:20 a.m. After disembarking and a short walk to Sirena Station, we drop off unneeded gear and prepare for a full day of exploration.
We hike slowly and quietly through the forest, maximizing wildlife encounters. Around 11:00 a.m., we return to the station for lunch and a break. In the afternoon, a second hike lets you explore different trails. The day ends back at the station around 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.
Day two starts with a sunrise walk at 5:00 a.m., the best time for wildlife. After breakfast at 6:30 a.m., guests choose one of two options:
Option 1: Hike out to Carate through the primary forest—an 8-hour trek ending with a 1.5-hour drive back to Puerto Jiménez.
Option 2: Take a final walk, have lunch at 11:00 a.m., and return by boat at 1:00 p.m., arriving in Puerto Jiménez by 3:00 p.m.
When the guide or captain gives the signal to board, please step onto the boat and find a seat promptly. Following these simple steps ensures a safe boarding process.
When the crew signals to disembark, please step off the boat carefully—do not jump—to avoid any accidents.
